FACT
Barred by lobbying-related rules from paying the sitting senator, iHeart agreed under a licensing deal to donate revenue 'associated with the show's advertising sales' to the Truth and Courage PAC (whose purpose is re-electing Cruz). FEC filings for committee C00796045 show at least $1,738,000 in 'digital revenue' since 2023. Forbes first flagged it in March 2024 at $215,000.

The Israeli tourism ministry is buying undisclosed ads on that same show.
FACT
Israel's Ministry of Tourism is running ads on Verdict as part of a $7M 'I am Israel' campaign launched June 2026 to draw Christian tourists. Co-host Ben Ferguson voices the spots and directs listeners to 'Visit Israel' — without disclosing that Visit Israel is a public-facing entity of a foreign government's tourism ministry.

The FEC already looked at the iHeart pipeline — and dismissed the complaint.
FACT
Watchdogs filed an FEC complaint alleging Cruz 'brazenly violated' the ban on candidate corporate donations. In February 2025 the commission ruled in his favor, finding 'no available information to indicate that Cruz solicited, directed, received, transferred, or spent the funds iHeart paid to the PAC.' We state this plainly: the enforcement agency found no violation.

The number proves the structure exists; it does not prove foreign dollars flowed through it.

Why it matters.
The story is the loophole, not a crime. Post–Citizens United, a corporation can route a lawmaker's show revenue into his re-election fund, and a foreign government can pour money into that same revenue stream through undisclosed ads — all without anyone having to prove, or disclose, that the dollars connect. Whether or not the Israeli money ever touches the PAC, the system is built so the public may never know.
